Martino Flynn, LLC Honored At 2005 Addy Awards

Martino Flynn, LLC, received four ADDYs and one Judges’ Special Recognition
Award last evening at the 15th annual Rochester Advertising Federation (RAF)
ADDY award ceremony. The ADDY awards recognize excellence in the Rochester
area for creative work in advertising, and are judged by professionals in
the industry.

Martino Flynn work receiving ADDY recognition included:

Martino Flynn’s assignment was to develop a TV commercial that promoted
Ballantyne RV & Marine’s annual open house sale without blending
in with all the other vehicle sales that were airing at the same time.
This TV commercial combines black-and-white footage nostalgic of a 1950s
instructional video that dispenses “recreation tips,” including
advice for both roasting marshmallows around the campfire, as well as buying
a recreational vehicle. This commercial also received a Judges’ Special
Recognition Award, as the judges were impressed by the way in which Martino
Flynn was able to create an interesting and unique TV commercial with a
limited budget.

As part of the Ballantyne RV & Marine “recreation
tips” integrated
campaign, Martino Flynn developed a series of posters for Ballantyne’s
two showrooms. The posters mirrored the TV execution and provided a lighthearted
series of tips to better enjoy recreational travels.

A parody of the General
Motors OnStar campaign, the Bristol Mountain 60-second radio spot “OnCar” depicts
a conversation between an “OnCar” representative and a father
who is looking for someplace to take his family skiing and snowboarding.
The representative directs the father to Bristol Mountain.

Martino Flynn
created a series of pre-trade show postcards aimed at convincing
marketing executives to meet with the agency during the 2004 National Outdoor
Retailers Show. The postcards emphasized Martino Flynn’s history
and strength in the outdoor recreation industry, and took a humorous approach
to gain the attention of their intended audience.
