Wear a robo-helmet and silver cape? Use Gmail.

This is featured as a bullet point in the ‘What’s new’ area of your Gmail account. This cracks me up but I’m a geek. I love that Google gives their engineers the freedom to be creative but could they be unintentionally alienating a larger audience with this kind of ‘marketing’?

    Let’s see, they have $12 billion in cash and they’re all brainiacs and this is what they come up with?
    Maybe we should pitch these Google guys…

    We might categorize this as smarmy ‘we’re smart, you’re dumb so use our products’ advertising.
