Jerry Flynn: A Celebration of Life
January 26th, 2009 by Kevin Flynn
Five years ago today, our father passed away peacefully at age 84. Even though Chris Flynn, Ray Martino and I formed Martino Flynn in early 1997, we credit Jerry as the founder of this agency back in 1967, when he started Jerry Flynn Associates. My dad was my compass in life in so many ways. And I miss him every day.
So I hope you’ll indulge me in a little history of this fine man and how he helped make the world a little better place. (For those of you who knew Jerry, you already know. For those of you who didn’t, you’ll soon see.) I’ve provided a link to a chapter in a book I wrote about my Mount Everest adventures called, “My Dad’s Dying.” It’s not too long and it’s my favorite chapter in the book. Hope you like it.
