September 11, 2007: It was time once again for the employees of Martino Flynn, LLC to compete in the agency’s Annual Golf Tournament. Even with an ominous rain cloud overhead, optimism for sunny weather flooded the office. As fate would have it, the sun put forth a valiant effort as it broke through the clouds, providing an optimal environment for the 43 golfers to take to the green.

An array of talented and buoyant golfers created 11 teams to battle for par at the Woodcliff Golf Club. Creative supervisor Paul Hill planned to celebrate his birthday by defending his title. After a long afternoon on the course, he did just that. Hill’s foursome, including colleagues Craig Henderberg, Julie Napieralski, and Matt Rankin, scored even par to give Paul the greatest birthday gift of all, another championship.

With a three-man team and a high score way over par, Corrie Carter, Josh Egerton, and Donna Goodwin proudly finished before nightfall. And although partners Chris Flynn, Kevin Flynn, and Ray Martino can often be found practicing their swings in between client meetings throughout the work week, none led their team to victory.

With the competition behind them, Martino Flynn employees gathered at Kevin’s house for pizza, wings and a tournament recap. Prizes were awarded to the winners and losers of the tournament, along with door prizes for those who finished in the middle.

In the name of good fun, the Martino Flynn Golf Tournament was once again a success. Golfers went home with fond memories and laughs only to wake up Wednesday morning and head back to reality as advertising, public relations, marketing, and interactive professionals.
